Consistency

Here’s a great post from Damian Porter in the ISSN Facebook page.

Image from a friend’s strava who nails consistency.

Quote:

Until you can be at least 90% consistent with your training and nutrition for at LEAST 2 MONTHS you really don’t have any right to get upset or frustrated with your progress or lack thereof.

Set a goal and take the steps needed to achieve it. But also don’t forget to make realistic goals because if they are unrealistic you are setting yourself up for failure.A goal without a plan is just a wish.

There are a lot of people that get frustrated with their progress. They are not sure why it’s taking longer than they think it should. Wondering what the heck is holding progress back.

Some will think there’s something wrong with their metabolism or hormones (which absolutely can be the issue sometimes).

The reality of the situation is that many times it’s very very simple, but simple doesn’t mean easy. You have to be CONSISTENT. Without consistency over time you will just keep taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back. c/o; Allen Cress

End quote.

This is why, sometimes as a coach I’m simply hired for the primary reason to help someone with their consistency and frequency of training over time. And remember, simple does not mean easy. I have a degree in nutrition but I’ve STILL worked with diet coaches in the past to help keep me ACCOUNTABLE over time.

If you want to ever set up a call to chat about how we can work together to improve YOUR consistency, go to this link and schedule a call. Seriously, if you want to chat, just do it!
